S R Mahadevasarma & S R Rajasree are familiar & experienced Violinists in the field of carnatic classical music and have been performing since 1984.S. R. Mahadeva Sharma is a favourite violin accompanist of padmavibhooshan Dr.K.J.Yesudas.He has been a regular & default violin accompanist in the concerts of K J Yesudas' since 1992. Both have composed many carnatic compositions in the language Sanskrit.S.R. Mahadeva Sarma and S.R. Rajasree are a renowned brother-sister violin duo from Kerala, known for their seamless collaboration and technical mastery in the Carnatic music tradition. Both are 'A-Top' grade artists for All India Radio and were trained by their father, the veteran violinist Prof. M. Subramonia Sarma.Key Career Highlights Historic Duo: They gave their first professional duet performance together as children—Mahadeva Sarma was 10 and Rajasree was 11.Pioneering Performance: In 2006, Rajasree became the first woman to play the violin at the historic Navaratri Mandapam in Thiruvananthapuram.Research & Revival: The duo has worked extensively to revive rare compositions, including Tyagaraja's pancharatnams and the rare Vinayaka kritis of Muthuswami Dikshitar.
